Wakepoint LBJ, in conjunction HomeSmart, Llano Chapter Gypsy MC, Arhen’s Ranch (representing the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Dept.) and others, are hosting a benefit concert for David Root, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for metastasized melanoma lung cancer. The benefit hopes to raise funds that will help with the Root family’s day to day expenses as David continues to undergo treatments.

The event will begin Saturday, November 13th at 1:00 pm and run until 10:00 pm that evening. Performers Mike Scott and Justin Teal from Just a Mike will be performing on The Stage, with special guest appearances by Mark Lafon and Ben Thompson. Llano Chapter Gypsy Motorcycle Club will be hosting a Fun Run from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. There will also be a multi-item raffle held via local businesses, as well as a performance by the Patriot Guard.

Tickets for the benefit will be $10. All proceeds will be used by the Root family to pay for expenses incurred during David’s treatment.
